Welcome! My name is Seungyoo Shin, and I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Boston University.

My research interests are in international trade and multinational firms. I study how host-country policies shape the markets foreign affiliates serve and where multinational firms expand. I also study how multinational firms allocate managerial resources across countries.

I am on the 2026-2027 job market and will be available for interviews.

Prior to my PhD, I completed an MA in Economics and a BS in Mathematics and Financial Engineering at Korea University.
